Matthew has worked in the nonprofit sector since 2006. He’s supported locally-led peace and human rights initiatives in many parts of the world. He’s the author of the award-winning book Are We Done Fighting? Building Understanding in a World of Hate and Division and writes a blog for Psychology Today.
I’ve been inspired by the many courageous people I’ve learned from all over the world who care about each other. Following them, compassion is something I try to cultivate in myself every day. We need initiatives that work compassionately for justice to create meaningful and sustainable change.
