Elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 enseigner sa m\u00e9thode de pleine conscience pour g\u00e9rer la douleur et la maladie suite \u00e0 sa propre exp\u00e9rience de probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 li\u00e9s \u00e0 des l\u00e9sions et interventions chirurgicales \u00e0 la colonne vert\u00e9brale durant son adolescence.
