Biography
I’ve championed the roles of music, dance, storytelling, and physical activity for improving executive functions and mental health and emphasized that training cognitive or physical skills is more successful when social and emotional needs are nourished. People succeed in environments where they feel safe, genuinely cared about, heard, and valued.
Why I support the Compassion Coalition
Practicing compassion (treating others with kindness and caring) makes both the recipient and the doer happier. And it's far more effective than trying to impose one's will through force or coercion. That’s true whether trying to tame a wild animal, raise children, supervise workers, or address those you disagree with.
