Elders of Hope Mercy Group is an initiative that we came up with to help elderly people in our community. In our community, once the children grow up and leave home, the elderly are left alone to fend for themselves, lacking even basic necessities like food and blankets.
We came up with this initiative as a solution:
- Keeping Everyone Safe, Especially Women: We will always look out for everyone, particularly women and girls, to make sure they are protected from harm, like violence.
- Offering Food and Comfort: We will use what we have to help get food and warm blankets to people who need them.
- Fixing Damaged Homes: We will work together to repair houses that are falling apart, making them safe again for families.
- Getting Sick People Help Quickly: We will make sure that anyone who is sick can see a doctor or get medical help right away.
