Universal Lighthouse

Universal Lighthouse is a community-based organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, with a special focus on limb-loss survivors. Our mission is to provide comprehensive psychological and psychosocial support to help survivors and their families cope with the challenges associated with limb loss.

Services Offered:

Psychological and Psychosocial Support: We offer counseling and therapy services both during and after the amputation process, assisting survivors and their families in navigating the emotional and psychological impact of limb loss.

Hospital and Home Visits: Our dedicated team conducts regular hospital and home visits to provide personalized support and guidance to individuals undergoing amputation and their families in the comfort of their own environment.

Skills Training: In addition to emotional support, we empower survivors through skills training programs, equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary for holistic empowerment and independence.

Community Engagement:

Support Groups: Within Kisumu County, we facilitate various support groups where limb loss survivors come together for periodic meetings. These gatherings provide a platform for individuals to share their experiences, offer mutual support, and inspire one another on their journey to recovery and adaptation.

At Universal Lighthouse, we are committed to being a beacon of hope and support for limb loss survivors and their families. Through our range of services and community engagement initiatives, we strive to empower individuals to embrace life beyond limb loss and thrive in their journey towards resilience and independence.
