Meet Our Speaker

塔斯尼姆·贝哈尔迪恩 is the founder and creative leader of Cape Town Stitch to Resist (CTS2R), a Cape Town–based non-profit organisation working at the intersection of art, textile practice, cultural heritage, social justice and community connection. Through collaborative art, exhibitions, installations, workshops, heritage programmes and creative exchanges, CTS2R works with indigenous, marginalised and underrepresented communities, women, youth and diverse cultural groups. Tasneem’s practice explores how handcraft, storytelling and collective making can preserve cultural memory, strengthen creative agency and create dialogue around identity, belonging, decolonial practice, solidarity and resistance. CTS2R’s collaborative work has been presented locally and internationally.
