Biography
I am Professor of Sustainability Science, and I have been working in the field of sustainability for around 25 years now, both in theory and practice. Nine years ago, I founded the Contemplative Sustainable Futures Program to create space and opportunities for education, networking and knowledge development on the role of inner development for collective and system transformation.
Why I support the Compassion Coalition
I support the Compassion Coalition because I am dedicated to support a more compassionate, and thus sustainable word. If we trace the roots of today’s sustainability crises through a culturally entrenched story of separation, we can clearly see the potential role of compassion, as it can foster fundamental aspects of connection. Compassion influences the inner lens through which we see the world and our identity within it.
