Why I support the Compassion Coalition

Rick Hanson is the embodiment of integrity and it was because of his involvement that I chose to join GCC. I want to be part of a group that practices mindfulness and compassion and uses these practices as the basis for fostering change in our communities and world. Specifically, I would like to further Mindfulness training in schools, businesses, health providers, police, armed forces, etc. and also bring together people with different political and/or religious views with mindfulness at the foundation. It is my hope that widespread embodiment of mindfulness and compassion will bring a greater sense of caring, kindness and equity for all in a peaceful way. All of this starts with us as individuals, and then spreads outwards to our communities.
