Biography

Shumaila Hemani, Ph.D. is the Artist in Residence at Trico Changemakers Studio, Mount Royal University bringing deep listening practices in the realm of climate justice, particularly energy advocacy. She is a certified positive neuroplasticity teacher with Dr. Rick Hanson and the Distinguished Founding Support Member of the Global Compassion Coalition. Hemani was inducted into the inaugural Women in Music Canada's Honor Roll in 2023 as an International Rising Leader for her debut music album: Mannat.
