Global Compassion Coalition (“GCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) welcomes you. We are a non-profit whose mission is to embed compassion and justice at the foundational levels of society to improve the well-being of both humanity and the planet. We operate the website https://www.globalcompassioncoalition.org/ and provide educational materials and means by which like-minded individuals can connect with one another (the “Services”). This Privacy Notice applies to our digital properties, apps, and services that link to this Privacy Notice as well as any interactions you may have with us in person. As used in this Privacy Notice “personal information” is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you or your household.
SOURCES OF INFORMATION
We collect your personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you. We may collect personal information directly from you when you interact with us such as when you register for our Services.
- Automatically when you access or use the Services. We may collect personal information using cookies and similar technologies or when you use our Services. For more information, see our Cookie Notice.
- From other third parties. We may collect personal information from other third parties, such as social media companies if you interact with or mention us.
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We, or our payment service providers, may collect your financial information (e.g., your payment details), and details of the services we have provided to you, or that you've inquired about, including any additional information necessary to deliver those services and respond to your inquiries.
- Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as IP addresses, device identifiers, web browser identification, pages visited on our website, Facebook/Instagram page access, and other information obtained from your device.
- Non-precise geolocation data, such as your geographic location based on device location.
- Photographs, such as when you upload a photograph for your profile, or post a photograph on our forum.
- Other information, that you may post on our forums or provide to us via social media interactions.
We may combine information that we receive from the various sources described in this Privacy Notice, including third-party sources, and use or disclose it for the purposes identified below.

Browser Signals
Some web browsers have “Do Not Track” or similar features that allow you to tell each website you visit that you do not want your activities on that website tracked. We recognize “Do Not Track” signals.
Global Privacy Control (GPC) allows individuals to automatically signal their privacy preferences to websites and other online services through their browser or through an extension. If we receive a GPC signal to opt out of website tracking, we will honor such requests.
HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION
We may disclose the personal information described in “THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT” with third parties in the following cases:
- Service Providers. We may disclose personal information with other parties with whom we contract (such as vendors, payment processors, IT providers, and other service providers) in order to provide you with the Services.

OPT-OUT FOR DIRECT MARKETING; EMAIL MANAGEMENT
You can opt out of receiving certain email communications from us at any time. To do so, follow the unsubscribe link in the footer of the email. You cannot opt out of receiving transactional emails related to the Services.
HOW WE PROTECT AND RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION
GCC takes seriously the security and privacy of the personal information that it collects. We have implemented reasonable security measures designed to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the Internet.
We retain your personal information based on legal requirements or business needs. Generally, we only retain personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary for our business purpose or as required by law.
CHILDREN
GCC’s Services are not intended for anyone under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18 through the Services. If you have reason to believe that a person under the age of 18 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at info@globalcompassioncoalition.org, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
LINKS TO EXTERNAL WEBSITES
The Services may contain links to third-party websites (“External Sites”). GCC has no control over the privacy practices or the content of any such External Sites. As such, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy notices of such External Sites. You should check the applicable privacy notice and terms of use when visiting any such External Sites.
SHINE THE LIGHT
If you are a California resident, you may opt out of sharing your personal information subject to California Civil Code §1798.83 (the “Shine the Light law”) with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes by submitting a request to opt-out to info@globalcompassioncoalition.org.

Transfers of your personal information outside the EEA and UK
Your personal information may be transferred to the United States or any other country where GCC may conduct business, which may have a different data protection regime than the country in which you reside.
If you are based in the EEA or UK, transferring your personal information is necessary for the review and assessment of your purchase.
