GCC Initiatives
We have to solve our biggest problems together. GCC initiatives apply compassion to key areas of human life, generating direct benefits while also serving as living laboratories in effective collective action.

The Resilient Parent Initiative
Children rely on their parents for safety, comfort, and stability -- but it is hard to meet those needs when you are stressed, worn out, or feeling low.
The Resilient Parent Initiative helps parents build the six inner strengths that foster the best possible outcomes for young children: Awareness, Self-care, Emotional Balance, Compassion, Teamwork, and Community.
Resources are free and designed to meet parents wherever they are.

Mindfulness and Prosocial Behavior Network
Mindfulness helps us go inward in beneficial ways, such as relieving stress and personal suffering.
It can help us go outward as well, with a greater awareness of connection, feelings of empathy for others, and concern for their welfare. And that sense of relatedness can aid the development of mindfulness - in a wonderful upward spiral.
To support these important interpersonal aspects, the Mindfulness and Prosocial Behavior Network brings together trainers, scholars, and policymakers to establish standards, develop best practices, host events and conferences, and encourage research.

Men and Boys Compassion Coalition (MBCC)
The MBCC works to increase compassion both from and for boys and men.
In the face of growing influences promoting callous, aggressive, and even cruel models of masculinity, we explore the intersections of strength and heart.
With respected allies such as Equamundo, the ManKind Project, and others, we support relevant research, programs, and advocacy groups working in the areas of education, business, athletics, and healthcare.

People for the Planet
Understandably, the climate crisis can make people feel overwhelmed and helpless.
Still, while it is true that global warming is primarily due to business activities and government policies, individual actions can both reduce greenhouse gasses and increase the personal sense of agency and contribution.
In addition to promoting political change, People for the Planet channels donations to credible nonprofits focused on green energy and carbon removal.
It’s “both-and” - both pressuring Big Carbon and taking the individual actions that at scale add up to a significant reduction in net emissions.
We may not be able to do everything. But we sure can do something!
